How To Detect Devices
Using GUI
The simplest way to see what devices Puppy has detected is to use HardInfo from the Puppy Menu
System > System Status and Config > HardInfo hardware information (Puppy526 Puppy 5.2x Lucid)
System > System Status and Config > HardInfo hardware information (Puppy53 Puppy 5.3x Slacko)
There is a Device submenu in the lefthand column. Click 'Summary' to get the basic description of the system. Sound cards are listed under Multimedia in the summary.
Using the Command Line
The following commands will list various devices-
blkid - will list block devices and their attributes more info
lspci - list all PCI devices more info
lsusb - list all USB devices more info
