Privacy enhancements:
- Avoid products and services of corporations that have been reported to violate privacy, such as Google, Facebook and Microsoft (Skype)
- Use encrypted search engines: https://www.startpage.com/, http://duckduckgo.com/
- Use file encryption and secure file deletion: ccrypt
- Use partition encryption: TrueCrypt
Often you can block unwanted content and the page still works fine. To block copy list below to /etc/hosts
