Using Puppy
First acquire the container file (either iso or zip) of the desired Puppy Linux, e.g.:- Wary (extra support for older hardware with Xorg 7.3+ and Kernel 2.6.32.16)
- Puppy 5 (Quickset edition with extra multi-lingual keyboard support)
Then choose either option A or option B:
- (A) create a LiveDVD
- (B) create an installation
Option A
With an optical disc drive available option A is the simplest: LiveDVD
Option B
Prior to installing one should read this first: InstallationChoices
Frugal installations (optical disc drive optional; >=256MB R.A.M. or swap space required):
- H.D.D.: InstallationFrugal
- U.S.B. flash drive: InstallationFrugal
Full installations:
