Summary
Go to http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/ and select a kernel to download, e.g.:# wget -c http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v3.0/linux-3.4.5.tar.xz
# cp linux-3.4.5.tar.xz /usr/src
# cd /usr/src
# tar xfv linux-3.4.5.tar.xz
rm -f linux
ln -s linux-3.4.5.tar.xz linux
# cd /usr/src/linux
# make oldconfig
# make menuconfig
# make
# make modules_install
# make install
# reboot
