It features the 3.0.7 kernel and X.org 7.6. Racy boots straight into X on first boot and launches its Quick Setup facility. (In contrast, Wary Puppy runs text-mode configuration dialogs and the [[Xorg]] Wizard before starting X.) Racy is a tad smaller ISO than Wary because it strips out dial-up modem support. Racy and Wary share a common package repository, so current apps are common to both systems.// ~[[http://www.osnews.com/story/25438 OSNews Review]] == Pet & SFS Downloads == - Official Pet Packages for Wary & Racy: [[http://distro.ibiblio.org/quirky/pet_packages-wary5/ ibiblio.org/quirky]] and [[http://distro.ibiblio.org/puppylinux/pet_packages-wary5/ ibiblio.org/puppylinux]] - [[Carolina]]: [[http://smokey01.com/carolina/pet_packages-carolina/ Pets]], [[http://smokey01.com/carolina/sfs/ SFSs]] - [[Saluki]]: [[http://smokey01.com/saluki/pet_packages-saluki/ Pets]], [[http://smokey01.com/saluki/sfs/ sSFSs]] - Both Carolina & Saluki are based on Race 5.2 with the Xfce desktop.
