Soft phone (using wifi or modem to phone to other sip numbers for free phone calls)
Paid calls to any landline or mobiles also possible. Sip enabled devices = free.
We intend Psip Puppy Phone to be available with some updates end of Sept 2011 for release of Puppy 5.3 'Slacko'

From the menu item Iptel, click on conference to enter then introduce yourself or just listen should work through modem
Quickstart
- Ensure working sound and Mic
Right click on the speaker icon (bottom right of Puppy desktop)
Select 'full Window' to ensure mic is turned on and working
- Register Sip address
Iptel Free Sip Account recommended
- Configure PSIP with registered details
It is suggested you register and use iptel as this has voicemail and conference facility
when putting in details:
sip URL: sip:lobster@iptel.org (your iptel registered name replaces 'lobster')
registrar URL: sip.iptel.org
- Use the test call features of PSIP
Echo (should hear mic 'echo' in headphones) and music tests
- Use PSIP as soft phone
Click on Connect/Register to enable phone
Contacts to phone use add friend feature
